An essential part for your account setup is setting your pixels properly. Misconfiguring your pixel event mapping or ad connections can prevent AnyTrack from sending the right data back to your ad network. Follow these steps in order to make sure you setup your pixel properly:
1. Enable Server-Side Tracking
All our pixels support server-side tracking and should be enabled for all pixels. Server-side events are events that are generated on the server and not within the user session. This includes almost all conversion events from our integrations so you must enable Server-Side events to receive conversions on your ad network.
2. Verify your Pixel Event Mapping
Sending data back to Facebook or Google for example requires having the right event mapping set for your pixel. You should verify that events you see under Conversion Events are mapped properly on the pixel event mapping.
For example, on the following report you can detect that AnyTrack generating the event names OutboundClick
and Purchase
:
Therefore, your pixel's event mapping should include at least the names OutboundClick
and Purchase
on the left and have a mapping for the ad network event (standard or custom) on the right:
You can also generate custom event mapping for custom event names you been using. The custom name you've used should be placed on the Left. On the right you can use any event name you want.
