Google Ads integration uses the
gtag.js pixel for both client and server side tracking.
This integration also supports the iOS 14.5 update so you should receive conversions for all your campaign mediums. If you don't need iOS support, you can always use our Google Analytics integration which support Google Ads conversions as well.
In order to use it, please navigate to your Tracking Pixels page and click on the Google Ads integration:
Once you click on the Google Ads integration you will be requested to place your gtag.js tracking id. You can use the “Browse” button to connect and fetch it automatically from your account or place it manually. The gtag.js tracking code is in the following format:
Please make sure you enable data connection by clicking the “Connect” button. This will make the rest of the integration much easier:
Enabling server-side events is crucial if you want to receive offline conversions. Make sure you enable this field and save your settings so you will be able to receive all conversions from AnyTrack.
Once you enable data connection, you will have a list of all your existing conversions from Google Ads. You will have to map each AnyTrack event to your conversion label on Google Ads.
If you don’t see your conversions, try clicking on the “Reload conversions” button to re-fetch the conversions from your account. Please make sure you define your conversions on your Google ads account under “Tools & Settings >> Measurement >> Conversions” and that you created a conversion with type “Website”.
AnyTrack always sends your conversion in real-time to all your pixels. However, each integration has its own processing time and it can take up to 24 hours to see the conversions on your Google Ads account.
From our own testing, this is the typical processing times for Google Ads conversions:
|Conversion Source||First Conversion||Additional Conversions|
|Web||4-6 hours||1 hour|
|iOS 14.5+||24 hours||24 hours|
Google Ads integration is still in Beta and we are still working on improving and fixing any issues we found. If you experience any issue with your integration please don’t hesitate to contact us and let us know!
